
The STEM Replay Quiz
An AI-powered, web-based STEM quiz platform that engages students in 3rd-8th grades using real sports data. Each day, students complete a new quiz built around standout stats from the previous night’s games.
The experience blends math, science, and data literacy into an interactive, gamified challenge that includes instant feedback, streak tracking, and digital badges. Designed for classrooms and at-home learning, it’s accessible on any device and includes teacher tools to track progress, monitor participation, and celebrate student growth.

As outlined in 2050's definition of the 12 key impact areas considered in evaluating these proposals:
"High-quality K-12 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education is essential. Submissions to this issue area can take the form of school-based curriculum support, after-school program activities, extracurricular opportunities, or other initiatives that encourage school-age students to succeed in STEAM."
Said plainly and directly, we have a deep and rich understanding of the K-12 STEAM landscape in Los Angeles, through our decades of work in the space. Via our enrichment programs, teacher professional development work and myriad other initiatives, we have our fingers directly on the pulse of what educators want/need and what motivates students to learn.
With a new organizational focus on providing in-school and enrichment programming, Science of Sport is poised for a second decade of positively impacting the lives of students and teachers across the country.

In the STEM Replay Quiz, students play a fun, fast-paced 5-question quiz any time, based on real highlights from recent games. Each quiz connects sports moments to math, science, and data skills, offering a unique and interactive learning challenge.
As they participate, they can earn digital badges, track their progress, and climb leaderboards whether they play once a week or multiple times. It’s an easy, engaging way to explore STEM through the sport they love, on any device, at their own pace.
The STEM Replay turns real sports moments into powerful learning opportunities, helping students in grades 3–8 develop math, science, and data skills through daily, game-based challenges that inspire consistency, confidence, and a love for learning.
Describe how Los Angeles County will be different if your work is successful.
While LA has myriad societal, economic and environmental issues to address in its future, two concepts are central to both of them - equity/access and workforce development/readiness. The STEM Replay Quiz directly addresses and helps to support efforts to drive both forward.
Via its implementation strategy, our platform immediately reaches all students and teachers in LA County, independent of geographic, socioeconomic status or station in life. Our initiative instantly and without charge or barrier to access brings high-quality, relevant and exciting K-12 STEM learning opportunities direct to learners and educators.
Through an intentionality around illuminating STEM careers in the sports space, our platform also directly and positively impacts the proclivity of our youth to explore and lean into local jobs that can be transformational for them and their families.
Adding these impacts together, the STEM Replay Quiz will have a powerful and positive impact on the future of LA.
