Black Refugee and Immigrant Student Advocacy and Academic Support (BRISAAS)
The BRISAAS program provides academic, language, and immigration support to Black immigrant and refugee students in Los Angeles County, addressing disparities in achievement, attendance, and college access. Through culturally responsive tutoring, mentorship, and legal referrals, the program fosters educational success and social inclusion. In partnership with LAUSD and local colleges, BRISAAS also promotes college readiness and long-term equity.
