LBC Community Engagement Event
Expand the existing Racial Violence education and substance use prevention protocol to Central-East Long Beach, focusing on Greater Harvest Church. Reduce gun-related deaths by increasing access to supportive services and economic mobility programs for youth, families, and communities impacted by violence. Strengthen social connectedness to build safe, healthy neighborhoods and raise awareness of vital resources citywide.

Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training
The movement is underfoot to allow lived-experience individuals to help in serving those who are justice-impacted. TRIPSS is African American-owned, and justice-impacted-owned. This grant will support women, including those with children and individuals who identify as female (LGBTQI+), who are justice-impacted and/or have a history of incarceration.

Women Empowerment Educational Training
This project offers Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist training for women, including mothers and those who identify as female, in LA County District 4. It addresses employment gaps in underserved communities. Participants receive a Chromebook at the start of training and a $1,000 stipend upon passing the certification exam to support their transition into the workforce.

Minor Setbacks for a Major Comeback
Providing job training to girls 18 and under in Long Beach Ca who are justice-impacted or from underserved communities, reduces incarceration and violence by building skills, stability, and purpose. This early intervention addresses the unique needs of girls often overlooked in prevention efforts.
This program equips underserved girls with job training and mentorship to reduce recidivism and promote long-term success.
