The Actors’ Gang (TAG) mission is to present new, unconventional and uncompromising plays and dynamic reinterpretations of the classics; restore the ancient sense of the stage as a shared sacred space; introduce theater to children and helps them find their own creative voices; and bring the freedom of self-expression to the incarcerated.

LEARN ·2024 Grants ChallengeThe Actors’ Gang working with justice-involved youth.
The Actors’ Gang Youth Project utilizes its unique Style of theater to engage and support children who are currently incarcerated or justice-involved in the greater Los Angeles area. The Teaching Artists are alumni of the Prison Project with lived experience and expertise in the Style and gain instant credibility with these young participants.
