Reseda Community Nursery & Eco Hub
Unlike large-scale commercial farms, the Reseda Plant Nursery serves Latinx, Black, immigrant, and low-income families in the community by providing free produce, native plants, and educational workshops. With grant support, we will expand plant cultivation, deepen community engagement, and partner with local organizations to increase equitable access to fresh food and regenerative agriculture, fostering healthier, greener neighborhoods and environmental justice.

Blooming Futures: LA Youth Climate Careers
Blooming Futures: LA Youth Climate Careers is a paid internship program that equips Latinx, Black, immigrant, and low-income youth in Los Angeles with skills in sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and healthy living. Grant funds will support hands-on workforce training and community education focused on growing food, promoting eco-conscious habits, and fostering green career pathways. The program advances environmental justice while empowering youth to lead healthier lives and build climate-resilient communities.

SOW & SAMO: Building Greener, Safer Grounds
Shift Our Ways (SOW) Collective, in partnership with the SAMO Fund, will launch a wildfire resilience initiative that provides educational workshops on fire-safe landscaping and building materials, along with discounted landscaping services for homeowners. This program aims to reduce wildfire risk, support insurance cost savings, and build climate-resilient neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
