LA Plaza Cocina- the nation’s first museum and teaching kitchen dedicated to Mexican Cuisine
LA Plaza is creating the nation’s first museum dedicated to celebrating and educating visitors on Mexico’s culinary heritage, from its indigenous roots to contemporary interpretations. Through exhibitions, cooking classes, lectures, workshops, and culinary festivals, LA Plaza Cocina will pay tribute to your abuela’s salsa, share entrepreneur success stories, and uncover the science behind making perfect masa! We’ll honor Mexican history, art and culture in the kitchen, while creating a space for personal, familial and cultural exploration.

La Troka — Mobile Garden and Culinary Arts Program
LA Troka takes health, nutrition, and urban gardening education to the streets of LA. Visiting schools, libraries, and other community centers and festivals in under-resourced neighborhoods, La Troka’s multi-sensory workshops empower young people by teaching them about gardening and how to prepare affordable, wholesome meals. Focusing on Latino-inspired cuisine, LA Troka encourages cultural exploration and connection and helps get children and families on the road to a healthy lifestyle.

The Historic Paseo Walkway creates a new gathering place in downtown that celebrates the city’s past by connecting the oldest historical sites and museums from Ft. Moore to Union Station.
