Hands for Hope

Hands4Hope LA provides support to at-risk youth ages 8 to 18 from low-income, predominantly minority underserved households to improve their quality through free S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) based after-school programs, low-cost Academic Summer Camp and semi-annual single parent resource fairs.

  • LEARN ·2025 Grants Challenge

    Bridging the Learning Divide in the East San Fernando Valley

    Hands4Hope LA will expand its free, year-round programs for underserved youth in the East San Fernando Valley through a site relocation and additional transportation. Our afterschool, STEAM, arts, and workforce readiness programs support students from elementary school through young adulthood. With this grant, we will serve more youth, deepen engagement, and remove access barriers, building a stronger, more equitable future for Los Angeles learners.

    Hands for Hope STEAM Educational Afterschool Programs

    Our engaged staff, volunteers and instructors create a safe learning environment that fosters relationships, strengthens academic skills and teach new talents. H4H creates a home away from home to support students social, emotional and academic needs. We provide access to explore music classes, tutoring, writing, exercise and planting outdoors, develop a mock business model. The result is the same: our students gain academic and mental health benefits from social interaction, personalized attention, educational support, and enrichment classes.

    LA2050 Future Entrepreneurs Professional Mentorship Program

    Hands for Hope is a Black-founded, Black-led organization with origins rooted in the Founder/CEO's experiences and deep understanding of the educational and wellness disparities that children of color experience guides the organization's commitment to culturally-congruent and affirming experiences. Youth workshops lead by successful professionals and entrepreneurs in a multitude of industries in L.A. will present career opportunities and remove barriers to equal opportunities and advancing racial equity for underserved communities.
