Founded in 1968, the Glassell Park Improvement Association's (GPIA) mission is to improve the quality of life for the Glassell Park community. To that end, GPIA identifies community needs, advocates with political entities, initiates infrastructure improvements, and implements community beautification programs.

The Glassell Park Improvement Association (GPIA) aims to transform five medians along Eagle Rock Boulevard into a vibrant urban forest. This project will improve public health, air quality, and traffic safety while fostering neighborhood pride and identity. It has strong support from local residents, city officials, and nearby businesses.
