Per the CDC, tooth decay is the most common chronic disease in U.S. children with over 34 million school hours lost each year due to emergency dental care. Yet dental care remains the most unaffordable form of healthcare in the U.S. Giving A Smile Foundation delivers free, high-quality dental care to LA’s most underserved kids, with over 3,500 treated since 2017. This grant will help us reach 500+ youth in 2025, laying the foundation for LA’s first permanent, free dental center. We’re scaling what works to close LA’s oral health gap for good.
