Da Poetry Lounge Co. (DPL) is rooted in the belief that stories save lives. As the largest-running weekly poetry open mic in the nation, we exist to provide accessible, intergenerational spaces for healing, connection, and community through the power of spoken word. We aim to foster wellness, radical belonging, and social awareness through poetry.

LEARN ·2025 Grants ChallengeHealing Through Poetry: Community Care and Creative Expression in Los Angeles
This grant will support Da Poetry Lounge Co.'s new featured artist-in-residence program. This program brings local and national poets to headline selected open mic nights and lead community workshops focused on emotional literacy, performance, and healing. It expands access to culturally rooted creative spaces for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities across Los Angeles.
