The City of Los Angeles is addressing the 45% unemployment rate amongst recent High School graduates and young adults by providing a pathway to economic advancement through a paid 10-week on-the-job training internship program. The Equipment Mechanic Internship Program (EMIP)provides access to creative industry employment by empowering underserved youth. Upon completion of the Program participants receive a certificate documenting the skills they have gained through the Program, which can be used to demonstrate work experience.
