Christian Outreach in Action (COA) is a non-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of homeless and low-income families in Long Beach and surrounding areas. COA has been providing hot meals, food bank and basic necessities for more than 40 years.

    Supporting Economic Mobility for Indigent and Unhoused Long Beach Residents

    COA will improve the wellbeing and economic mobility of approximately 65,000 indigent Long Beach residents through daily communal hot meals, access to a free food bank, alongside the provision of diapers, baby food, pet food, hygiene kits, blankets, and other basic necessities not covered by social services. By alleviating the most acute food insecurity and providing for items not covered by SNAP and WIC alongside connecting constituents to external services and programs.

    Food & Basic Necessities for Families

    Christian Outreach in Action (COA) serves more than 24,500 low-income and/or homeless individuals in Long Beach through hunger relief and basic needs programs, including a hot meal program, food bank, clothing bank, diaper bank and outreach events for seniors. COA rescues food and clothing that would otherwise end up in landfills and distributes it to families in need. COA supports families so they can thrive in stable jobs and regain their ability to support themselves and their families.
