The Asian Youth Center (AYC) exists to empower low-income, immigrant, and at-risk youth and families, of all communities, to overcome barriers to success through culturally and linguistically competent education, employment, and social services. We help youth succeed in school, at work, and in life!

  • PLAY ·2025 Grants Challenge

    AYC’s Antelope Valley Friday Night Club

    Asian Youth Center provides the Youth Recreation Program, designed to offer a safe, structured, and supportive environment for low-income, at-risk middle and high school students. Our program—Friday Night Club—runs every week from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. FNC serves as a preventive initiative to reduce gang involvement and delinquency by providing a positive alternative to unsafe environments. With the expansion of programming to include additional community safety workshops, youth will gain the knowledge and skills to improve their futures.

    AYC Youth & Parent Leadership Development Program

    The Asian Youth Center’s Youth & Parent Leadership Development Program supports immigrant/refugee youth and parents to identify and advocate for policy issues that matter most to them. The Parent Education Academy provides English learning and technology skills, utilizing lessons with social justice content and advocacy skills to amplify Asian and Latino immigrant voices and experiences to improve their well-being and address barriers to success, including racism, discrimination, and hate.

    AYC Emergency Food Program

    The Asian Youth Center (AYC) will expand our Emergency Food Program which provides clients with a bag worth up to 30 meals of fresh produce, meat, grains, dairy products, eggs, ready-made meals, and non-perishable as well as hygiene items and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Through the introduction of a comprehensive volunteer program, the organization will leverage community partnerships and members of the community to support the fight against food insecurity in the San Gabriel Valley and the broader Los Angeles region.

    United Mental Health Promoter (UMHP) Services

    The Asian Youth Center (AYC) will connect adults over 65 years old in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) area of Los Angeles County to underutilized mental health services. Through the United Mental Health Promoter (UMHP) Project, individuals will receive culturally competent information, education, and access to resources in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish and English.

    Youth and Parent Leadership Development - Dream Centers

    AYC's Youth and Parent Leadership Development (YPLD) program provides academic support, college and career readiness, health and wellness services, leadership development, and family resources at six Dream Centers in eight public high schools throughout LA County. Utilizing Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) methodology and the Community Schools framework, YPLD supports immigrant and refugee youth and parents to identify and advocate for policy issues that matter most to them, allowing them to voice their opinions and concerns.
