Our mission is to promote environmental sustainability, urban agriculture, food justice, and community unity. The garden provides access to fresh food, all-ages educational programming, composting, and intergenerational and intercultural connection. Serving Altadena and LA County, we bring people together through collective stewardship of the land.

In the wake of the Eaton Fire, we hope to rebuild our diverse and storied garden into a visionary and dynamic greenspace for intergenerational connection, urban gardening, fire resiliency, and environmental stewardship. As a locally led community hub for healthy food and safe outdoor access in Altadena, we plan to continue our work by restoring our lending tool shed, rebuilding destroyed infrastructure, and relaunching our gardening program and free workshops, while expanding our impact with new ideas like planting a new public fruit orchard.
