Suspension and expulsion rates

In the 2020-2021 school year, 26 LAUSD students were suspended and 1 student was expelled.* These numbers have decreased significantly since 2012, when students were suspended 18,846 and 152 students were expelled.

*This data was significantly impacted by the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic along with distance learning.
