The Case Manager provides trauma-informed and culturally responsive case management, para-professional counseling, and supportive services for domestic violence survivors and their children. This is a full-time, onsite position that requires access to confidential and sensitive information. Strict adherence to agency policies, procedures and confidentiality is required at all times.
Roles & responsibilities
Respond to walk in clients, including providing immediate crisis intervention, safety planning, and paraprofessional counseling.
Maintains a caseload of 25+ clients.
Responsible for conducting intakes, assessments, case planning & implementation, advocacy, accompaniment, and referrals for survivors of domestic violence.
Provide supportive services, including facilitating support groups, educational workshops, and other empowering and healing activities.
Maintain and securely stores accurate and up-to-date client records, service data and documentation required for program and grant reporting.
Participate in community outreach and education to increase DV survivors’ access to services and resources
Provide hotline and shelter coverage as needed
Support program volunteers
Provide childcare as needed
Participate in organizational development activities
Assist in other tasks as needed
Qualifications
Strong problem solving, collaboration, and verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in nonprofit organizations
Minimum 2 years experience in crisis intervention, domestic violence services, case management, and/or social services. Can be substituted with university and post graduate level studies in the field.
Proficiency in Spanish or other languages (Preferred)
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and have access to vehicle during work hours. Able to provide proof of insurance and clean driving record.
Must complete Live Scan and TB test prior to employment.
