About this organization

VerdeXchange News & Conference (VX) and The Planning Report (TPR) are Los Angeles–based platforms convening leaders across energy, infrastructure, housing, water, and climate policy. Through high-level journalism and the annual VerdeXchange Conference, VX/TPR connect public agencies, private-sector innovators, and global partners to advance practical solutions for California’s built and natural environment.

About this job

VerdeXchange News & Conference and The Planning Report seek a highly motivated Associate (Part-time / Intern) to support editorial production, conference programming, and research initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to California policy, clean energy, housing innovation, and global climate partnerships.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious about infrastructure and climate issues, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Our annual conference is scheduled for May 31–June 3, 2026, and availability during that period in Downtown Los Angeles is required.

Hours will begin at approximately 10–15 per week, with a minimum of one in-person day per week in DTLA (The Bloc). The Associate will work directly with the conference lead and core team.

Additional opportunities—including attending events, supporting private dinners, and assisting with closed-door meetings—will require schedule flexibility and the ability to commute within the Los Angeles region.
