About this job
We’re seeking a Manager/Editor to play a pivotal dual role:
1. Co-coordinate the VX Conference with an emphasis on program planning, digital outreach, and event operations
2. Edit and manage content for TPR, including long-form interviews with leading policymakers, planners, and civic leaders
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a small leadership team, engage with high-level stakeholders, and contribute meaningfully to the civic and sustainability landscape in Los Angeles and California.

This is a highly collaborative full-time role that blends writing, research, policy analysis, and conference coordination—all while offering direct access to influential leaders in the urban planning and sustainability sectors.

Qualifications
- Background or strong interest in urban planning, public policy, sustainability, transportation, water, or infrastructure.
- Demonstrated writing and editorial experience (journalism, academic, or policy).
- Comfort navigating a fluid, fast-paced work environment with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in tools like Word, Outlook, Excel, Zoom; bonus for experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, or CRM platforms.
- A collaborative, self-starting attitude and curiosity about the civic fabric of Los Angeles and California.
