About this job
The Senior Program Manager leads end-to-end execution of URBAN TXT’s program portfolio, including the Summer Coding Leadership Academy (SCLA), SEALS, Alumni engagement, apprenticeship program, mentorship, coaching/college prep, and school-year workshops. This role is focused on youth development, operations-heavy and impact-driven: you will plan, staff, run, and continuously improve programs so students experience high-quality learning, strong outcomes and transforming the lives of young low-income boys and young men. Coding experience is not required; passion for youth development, leadership, and entrepreneurship is essential. You will manage the program assessments, maintain records and monitor student progress.
Roles & responsibilities
Program Management
Plan and execute the suite or URBAN TXT’s programs which includes our flagship. program Summer Coding and Leadership Academy which includes the leadership camp.
Oversee and conduct pre and post assessments.
Recruit, hire and oversee youth development training for all SCLA staff.
Collaborate with staff to develop innovative curriculum that include transformative, experiential learning experiences which develop unbound thinkers
Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Technology Team to ensure alignment between youth development goals and program outcomes.
Oversee Demo Day.
Build relationships with parents and guardians of SCLA Participants.
External Relations and Collaboration
Support partnerships with local school partners
Represent URBAN TXT at local events, community gatherings, or workshops and trainings
Work directly with high schools to deliver presentations to recruit SCLA participants
Recruit and interview college coaches
Recruit Professional Speakers and volunteers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree;
Fast Learner
Self-Starter and problem solver
Self-Aware of Strengths and weaknesses
Has a philosophy of "Success is not hard, just a lot of work"
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated success leading and motivating teams. Ability to supervise and give directions to staff, contractors and vendors
Project and Program planning skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently, creatively with initiative and accurately with minimal supervision
Skills in analyzing information, problems, situation, practices or procedures to define the problem or objective.
