Upward Bound House seeks a highly motivated development professional to support and grow corporate partnerships and fundraising events. This role is integral to expanding UBH’s philanthropic revenue by cultivating corporate relationships, managing sponsorships, and executing high-impact fundraising events. The Corporate Giving & Event Sponsorships Manager works cross-functionally with Development, Programs, Communications, and Leadership to strengthen donor engagement, elevate UBH’s brand visibility, and deliver meaningful experiences that inspire long-term investment in our mission. This position requires a proactive relationship builder, strong project manager, and results driven fundraiser who understands both revenue strategy and donor stewardship.
Roles & responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Giving & Foundation Partnerships:
Identify, cultivate, and manage corporate partners with aligned private and public foundation giving
Secure funding through corporate foundations, including local and regional grant opportunities in collaboration with the Institutional Giving team.
Develop and execute strategies for matching gifts, employee giving campaigns, volunteer grants, and workplace giving programs.
Build relationships with corporate social responsibility (CSR) teams to align UBH programs with funding
Partner with corporations to design and implement employee engagement opportunities, including volunteer activations, site visits, and community impact experiences.
Create tailored partnership opportunities that integrate philanthropy, sponsorship, and employee
Manage a portfolio of corporate foundation prospects and ensure timely submission of proposals, reports, and stewardship materials.
Collaborate cross-functionally with the Grants/Institutional Giving team to avoid duplication, align strategy, and maximize funding opportunities.
Corporate Partnership Development
Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate giving strategy inclusive of sponsorships, foundation grants, and employee-driven philanthropy programs.
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners across philanthropic, sponsorship, and foundation channels.
Secure funding through a mix of event sponsorships, corporate foundation grants, and workplace giving initiatives.
Develop customized partnership packages that integrate brand visibility, social impact, and employee
Maintain a robust pipeline of corporate and corporate foundation
Donor Stewardship & Engagement
Ensure timely follow-up, recognition, and reporting to corporate partners
Coordinate and expand corporate volunteer engagement and employee activation programs, including volunteer grants.
Develop customized impact and engagement reports for corporate and foundation
Deepen relationships through multi-touch engagement strategies that connect corporate partners to
UBH’s mission and outcomes.
Maintain consistent communication and visibility with key
Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely with Institutional Giving to align corporate foundation outreach, ensuring strategic coordination and maximized revenue opportunities.
Work closely with Development, Finance, and Program
Support grant alignment where corporate partnerships intersect with program
Collaborate with marketing to ensure strong brand presence at
Event Fundraising Strategy & Execution
Lead planning and execution of fundraising events (galas, community events, campaigns, corporate engagement events).
Met event revenue goals and manage
Secure event sponsorships, auction items, and in-kind
Oversee vendor management, timelines, run-of-show, and
Ensure strong donor cultivation and stewardship touchpoints before, during, and after
Revenue Growth & Performance Management
Meet or exceed annual corporate and event fundraising
Develop quarterly revenue projections and pipeline
Monitor cost-to-raise-a-dollar and event
Identify opportunities to improve event revenue efficiency and donor
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, business, or related field (preferred).
3–5 years of experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship sales, or event
Demonstrated success in meeting fundraising or revenue
Strong relationship-building and negotiation
Experience managing fundraising events from concept to
Strong written and verbal communication
Passion for homelessness and commitment to UBH’s mission and
Strong organizational skills - ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set and manage priorities, and meet deadlines and goals.
Proficiency with office technology and donor information systems (preferably Salesforce, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to work productively with a variety of people; collaborative
Available for occasional work on weekends and
Salary
$75,000 - $85,000
