About this job

The Program Manager is responsible for setting up, managing and evaluating our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) classes, including staffing, scheduling and training. This position will develop the curriculum, syllabus and lesson plans. This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with our staff, students, parents and partners. In addition, the position is responsible for adherence to classroom procedures and safety. Experience working with K-12 students is preferred. Position reports to the Director of Operations. Salary is $30-35/hr

Flexible hybrid work hours (i.e., 3 days in office, 2 days remote). Part-time non-exempt.

Roles & responsibilities

- Develop plan to meet annual revenue goal

- Develop Budgets for all activities; classes, workshops, field trips, camps and special events

- Prepare a Curriculum and Syllabus for each activity in conjunction with Instructors

- Train and assign all classroom staff; Instructors, Site Coordinators and Volunteers

- Assist in compiling program data for grant submissions and reports

- Additional duties as determined by Director of Operations and Executive Director

- Responsible for training classroom staff

- Participate in staff performance reviews

- Be accessible to staff, parents and partners

- Respond to and document critical incidents

- Manage organizational procedures and safety regulations

Qualifications

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management, teaching or training required.

- Familiarity with coding (Scratch, JavaScript, HTML, Python), robotics and 3D printing is required

- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

- Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain accurate records
