About this job

As the Social Media Content Creator, you’ll work directly with Bianca Delgado, our Senior Marketing Lead, to:

- Strategically grow our social media presence**, reaching and engaging prospective students

- Own content creation across platforms**, while receiving hands-on support and feedback

- Repurpose content efficiently, adapting Instagram and TikTok posts for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and other channels

Roles & responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

✔️ Support the execution of social media creative, tailored to reach and engage prospective students

✔️ Create, curate, and schedule content (graphics, short-form video, copy) using Canva and other tools

✔️ Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Lead to maintain consistency in brand tone and messaging

✔️ Organize and maintain our editorial calendar on Asana

✔️ Research trends and suggest weekly ideas for reels, stories, and trends (especially for Instagram and TikTok)

✔️ Capture b-roll and photos for use in marketing collateral

✔️ Manage our social media asset library and stay on top of platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practices

✔️ Track content performance and make data-informed recommendations

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about education equity, digitally savvy, and results-driven. You don’t need to check every box so if you’re excited by this role, we want to hear from you!

- Comfortable creating high-quality content independently

- Skilled at making students and staff feel comfortable on camera

- Chronically online: you know what’s trending, what resonates, and what’s next

- Flexible, creative, and solutions-oriented

- Ready to bring fresh energy to a small but mighty marketing team

Work experience and background

- 1–3 years managing or creating social media content (education/nonprofit experience a plus)

- Proficient in Canva; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other design tools is a bonus

- Familiarity with Asana, Slack, and other digital platforms to manage tasks and communication

- Deep understanding of social platforms Instagram, TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, Youtube Shorts, Pinterest, etc.

- Organized and responsive, with strong communication and presentation skills

- Ability to juggle multiple projects, shift gears when needed, and prioritize independently

- Nice to Have

- Experience reaching target audiences through social media content (includes working adults, parents, first-generation college students, community college students, recent high school graduates, and more.)

- Experience creating a data-led social media strategy

- Experience leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT into social media content creation, management and execution
