Resilient Palisades is seeking a skilled, collaborative, and equity-driven Program Coordinator to help manage and grow a cross-sector partnership advancing Palisades and Eaton wildland urban interface (WUI) fire recovery through soil bioremediation, regenerative landscaping, and environmental justice across Los Angeles County.
The Coordinator will lead partner communications, convenings, and capacity-building efforts for the Fire-Resilient Bioremediation and Landscape Recovery Consortium , supporting organizations in Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and beyond. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing post-WUI community resilience and grant readiness.
Roles & responsibilities
Consortium Coordination (40%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for consortium members.
- Organize and facilitate regular partner meetings and strategic planning sessions.
- Finalize and manage MOUs and other collaboration agreements.
Community Engagement (40%)
- Co-develop culturally responsive outreach plans with anchor CBOs (i.e., Resilient Palisades, Eaton Fire Residents United).
- Support planning and execution of community events, listening sessions, and participatory design activities.
- Help administer community engagement tools (e.g., surveys, stipend disbursement, participant tracking).
Funding Readiness Support (20%)
- Work closely with the grant writer and consortium members to develop public and/or philanthropic grant proposals.
- Support training and workshops on compliance, partnership models, and funding systems.
- Help document processes and lessons learned to support scalability and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative project coordination, preferably in a nonprofit, community-based, or environmental context.
- Familiarity with grant development, public sector funding, or community capacity-building efforts.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to social equity and environmental justice. Meaningful experience working with BIPOC-led organizations and frontline communities is strongly preferred.
- Prior success in coordinating the efforts of a consortium is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of wildfire recovery, soil health, ecological restoration, or environmental justice issues is a plus.
