About this organization
About Rainbow Services
Rainbow Services provides shelter, housing, legal advocacy, and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence in Los Angeles. We are survivor-first, trauma-informed, pet-inclusive, and committed to building systemic safety and equity.
About this job
Position Summary
Rainbow Services is entering a season of growth, moving from "sustaining" to "building". We are seeking a Growth & Marketing Manager to own the credibility and conversion engine for our development team.
In this role, you will use AI and modern automation to streamline complex workflows, allowing our leadership to focus on deepening donor relationships and scaling private unrestricted revenue to $1M+. You will bridge the gap between our high-intensity survivor services and the community, corporate and individual partners who make them possible.
How We Work
• The 50/95 Rule: We value early alignment over late-stage perfection. You share your logic at 50% completion; we align; and you take the project to 95% for final delivery.
• Radical Autonomy: Once you master the "Rainbow Voice," you have the freedom to manage your workflow independently, provided the strategic artifacts are delivered on time.
Roles & responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
• Responsive Storytelling: Manage our digital presence across social and earned media. Use AI tools to translate breaking news and policy shifts into "Rainbow Responds" content that reflects our unique voice within hours.
• Community, Corporate & Individual Outreach Orchestration: Build automated outbound sequences to introduce local corporate and community partners to our mission, ensuring the CDO's calendar remains full of high-value connection opportunities.
• Strategic Resource Enablement: Maintain a modular library of grant narratives and pitch decks. This system will allow us to generate high-quality, customized proposals for foundations and high-net-worth donors in minutes.
• Automation-First CRM: Architect seamless data "bridges" between our website, payment platforms, and CRM to eliminate manual entry and ensure every donor receives a timely, personalized nurture experience.
• Growth Marketing: Manage our Google Ad Grant and design high-converting landing pages that invite the community to join our mission.
• Knowledge Management: Curate our relational Notion database, ensuring the agency's institutional knowledge hub is maintained with upcoming deadlines, timelines and relevant details.
• Other Duties as Assigned.
Weekly Outputs
This role is accountable for shipping measurable work each week:
• Proof asset shipped (testimonial, data visualization, or impact story)
• Conversion improvement shipped (landing page, form, or funnel optimization)
• Nurture email or outbound sequence deployed
• Ads Grant maintained and optimized
• Weekly metrics pulse delivered to CDO
Physical Requirements
(essential to perform the job)
• Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment
• Must be able to communicate and exchange information effectively
• Must be able to occasionally lift, move or transport items up to 20 pounds
• Must be able to sit at a desk and work for prolonged periods at a computer
Qualifications
Qualifications & Values
• Professional Experience: 3–5 years in digital growth, marketing or nonprofit development.
• AI Fluency: You are proficient with LLMs (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) and view automation as a tool for liberating human creativity, not just a shortcut.
• Technical Stack: Experience with Notion (Relational DBs), Apollo.io, Canva, GA4, and automation tools like Zapier or Make.com.
• Compassionate Resilience: You can navigate the weight of domestic violence narratives with dignity, ensuring they are shared with a focus on survivor strength and trauma-informed care.
• Analytical Curiosity: You enjoy finding the "detective thread" between complex social issues and practical fundraising solutions.
Salary
$29-31 per hour
