Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Mechanic Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance team responsible for the upkeep, repair, and optimization of our production line equipment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring the seamless operation of production processes.
Roles & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production line maintenance team.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, cGMP standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to align maintenance activities with production goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance schedules, activities, and repairs.
- Identify and propose opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, food and beverage, or nutriceutical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with hands-on experience maintaining production line equipment such as conveyors, fillers, cappers, and packaging machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cGMP, OSHA, and other safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software is a plus.
