Position: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $30.47
Fully Paid Medical/Dental Insurance
Contract position through 12/31/2026.
Roles & responsibilities
The following provides a general description of duties for the Staff Assistant. Please note that the summary of responsibilities and required abilities identified below are not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities, or requirements.
The Staff Assistant will report to the Contracts and Finance Manager and provide a full range of administrative support services for the Office of Violence Prevention including processing contracted agencies’ invoices, preparing contract documents including budget modifications and amendments, conducting desk audits of contracted agencies, collecting data, preparing data spreadsheets, and other special projects that may require researching, gathering, and organizing information from a variety of sources.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years' experience in a general administrative staff or specialized staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, systems and procedure, program, facility planning, budget, or personnel
- Valid Class C California Driver’s License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
