Position Overview:

Candidate will assist with all tasks necessary surrounding development, fundraising, and grants. This includes:

● Cultivating relationships with major donors, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and other prospects

● Leading funding efforts for cyclical development initiatives around organizational milestones and other opportunities such as Giving Tuesday, National Music Month, Women’s History Month, etc.

● Cultivating relationships with major donors, maintaining a strong pipeline of grant/philanthropic prospects

● Working directly with CEO and ED to select and apply for resources across the spectrum of relevant funding areas

Roles & responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Proven track record of high-level grant prospecting with private and family foundations, corporate funders, individual donors, and public-sector grant sources

● Help to develop and execute the annual development funding plan, manage the centralized giving calendar, and organize database in PMF Foundation Google Drive

● Assist with donor events around fundraising including special initiatives and annual events ● Write compelling, competitive proposals tailored to each funder's stated eligibility requirements and specific areas of focus

● Coordinate efforts to gather required attachments for grant proposals including, but not limited to program and organizational budgets, Board of Directors listing including terms and affiliations, Board resolutions, Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, Audited Financials, 990s, etc.

● Submit electronic and/or hard copies of applications according to each funder's instructions ● Review grants contracts/agreements and aid the Foundation in executing contracts/agreements, as needed

● Communicate with the Foundation regarding required program budgets for proposals and awarded grant contracts, award spend-downs, invoicing against grant awards, and maintenance of source documentation by project

● Communicate desired outcomes of grant awards to the Foundation when specific deliverables are specified by the funder in grant award letters or executed grant contracts/agreements with the funder

● Attend and/or call into proposal strategy/planning meetings with Foundation staff

● Consult and communicate with the Foundation regarding funder recognition requirements and preferences; consult with PR/marketing and social staff to coordinate donor messaging ● Manage progress reporting, performance measurement reports, and other compliance as outlined in executed grant contracts/agreements with the funder

● Coordinate and prepare key documents for funder monitoring visits/audits ● As needed, represent the Foundation at mandatory meetings, phone conferences, and webinars when attendance at such events is required to apply for grant funding ● Assist the Foundation in the preparation for site visits in instances when the funder uses site visits to determine if applicant will advance to the next round of consideration ● Write thank-you letters to funders as requested by PMF Foundation staff

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

● Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines promptly and efficiently ● Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● High level of discretion pertaining to confidential information.

● Creative thinker, who is intellectually curious, and a high-energy self-starter. ● Strong computer and presentation design skills including experience with Google Workspaces, Canva

● Resourceful, creative, collaborative, and passionate about nonprofit organizations ● Eager to represent the Foundation’s mission as an ambassador to potential partners/donors/members, etc.
