West Los Angeles. OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center seeks a full-time Clinical Coordinator to help build our Spanish Satellite Program to serve Spanish-speaking grievers throughout the community with primary and urgent focus of service in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. The clinical coordinator will perform clinical and strategic oversight for the program, including creating collaborative relationships, partnering with potential referral sources for group members and volunteer group leaders, helping coordinate marketing and outreach efforts to build awareness of program, and meeting community needs for Spanish- language grief support. This position will provide oversight to the program, supervise MSW student interns, and will include direct clinical practice, such as running support groups in Spanish and meeting with grievers.

Salary range is $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience. Competitive benefits package.

Roles & responsibilities

Requirements:

1) Licensed LCSW, with minimum two years post-graduate job experience

2) Demonstrated clinical experience with individuals, families and groups, as well as program management and outreach

3) Bilingual fluency required in Spanish and English

4) Experience with culturally diverse populations within the Latinx Community

5) Flexible schedule: primarily located in West LA with some driving involved (mileage reimbursement)

6) Demonstrated experience working with grief and loss

JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFIC DUTIES

Strategic Responsibilities

· Build the Spanish Satellite Program, which is a Spanish-language grief support program in the Los Angeles community, using the OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center model. This will include building collaborative relationships, partnering with potential referral sources for group members and volunteer group leaders, such as schools, districts, community agencies, healthcare centers, mortuaries and houses of worship, and serving as a liaison between these organizations and OUR HOUSE

· Help coordinate marketing, outreach, and education efforts to build awareness of programs

· Sustain and expand existing services, including groups, workshops, education for professionals, and on-site grief responses

· Assess and discern which geographical area(s) to target for services

· Provide significant outreach and networking in the community

· Initiate and respond to outreach calls to and from therapists, agencies, and schools

Clinical Coordination and Administrative Responsibilities

· Adapt OUR HOUSE assessment and evaluation tools to collect data and prepare clinical reports for Board and funders

· Review additional external Spanish-language grief support models and programs for competitive assessment

· Attend clinical and staff meetings as scheduled

· Participate in weekly individual supervision

· Participate in devising, updating and designing policy and practice guidelines that meet standard of care

· Actively collaborate with Clinical Director and all appropriate parties to problem-solve identified issues of concern

· Attend and support key agency events, such as Run for Hope, Gala, Volunteer luncheon, Día de Los Muertos Festival, and other events and meetings

Grief Support Group and Workshop Responsibilities

· Maintain and update program curricula, including for 14-week Spanish-language grief support groups

· Collaborate closely with Program Coordinator of Spanish Satellite Program and provide oversight of grief support group services and group leader support as indicated

· Potentially coordinate these Satellite Support Groups for adults, with existing or new OUR HOUSE programs for children and teens

· Conduct telephone pre-intakes with potential group members

· Conduct in-person intakes/PGA

· Conduct or co-lead grief support groups in Spanish

· Respond to telephone and email concerns from group members

· Make referrals to individual therapy/other types of support as appropriate

· Develop new groups/programs as needs arise

Group Leaders, MSW Student Interns and Part-Time Staff

· Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and training volunteer group leaders and MSW student interns in English and Spanish

· Supervise student interns and delegate assignments to them

· Conduct supervision to group leaders in English and Spanish every other week, as needed

· Provide individual consultation to group leaders, MSW Interns and staff members, as needed

Professional and Community Education

· Develop and conduct community education and clinical outreach presentations, including

ü Outreach for opportunities to speak at community events, fairs, taskforces, and meetings

ü Grief workshops for the public, based on OUR HOUSE model

ü Provide both outreach and education for professionals who refer and also grievers who require support and service

On-Site Grief Response

· Respond to requests from businesses, agencies, and schools in community to perform short-term on-site grief responses as needed to respond to grief in the workplace

Qualifications

Qualifications: Licensed LCSW with minimum of two years post graduate job experience; must be fluent in Spanish and English, have strong initiative, and interest in working with bereavement and/or trauma-focused programs. Top candidates will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and have strong written communication, public speaking skills, and high emotional intelligence. Experience in community outreach, presence in community, ability to travel and program development are required. Experience as a field instructor is a plus.
