About this job
As FieldKit has evolved, it’s become clear that we need someone on our team who can set us up for growth, work hands-on to shape our logistical and fulfillment procedures, and optimize the process of getting FieldKit products into customers’ hands.
We’re looking for someone with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to own FieldKit’s logistical operations, preparing and fulfilling customer orders from beginning to end. You’re adept at working to deadlines, tracking your progress, and forecasting upcoming crunch moments that might necessitate additional support staff. If you’re a proactive problem solver who would love nothing more than to shape both our lab space and operational processes into a well-oiled machine, we’d love to hear from you. This job offers the opportunity to see your work impact positively on the environment and our planet’s natural treasures, while acting as an invaluable, independent member of our small, fun team and growing as a leader as FieldKit expands.
Roles & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Here are some of the core responsibilities for the job—these are what you would spend most of your time doing:
Fostering and managing relationships with our suppliers
Developing a methodology for efficiently and safely organizing our lab/mini warehouse space and implementing it
Managing inventory by performing stocktakes, maintaining digital stock counts in our systems, forecasting ordering needs, making purchase orders, and shipping parts to third party manufacturers
Prepping and fulfilling orders of FieldKit hardware for customers and FieldKit expeditions, including parts assembly, calibration and testing (we’ll train you on this)
Liaising with building management, couriers and contractors
Sometimes you might also:
Research and manage shipping logistics for domestic and international shipments, including liaising with legal and tax consultants to build shipping protocols
Document and develop internal protocols and processes
Train and oversee additional fulfillment support, as needed
Prep the lab for meetings, and provide production assistance including support for team travel logistics and expense reporting
Qualifications
If you’re a dependable strategic thinker who can also roll up your sleeves and jump in, we want to speak with you. We value a diversity of backgrounds and expertise so if you’re confident in your ability to do the job, then we encourage you to apply.

Excellent time management and prioritization (“big picture”) skills with an eye for detail
