About this job

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will oversee a complex organization with a $28 million annual budget, 80% of which currently originates from government funding.

Roles & responsibilities

The successful candidate will be an innovative, global-thinking leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, and a genuine and compelling enthusiasm for JVS SoCal’s mission. The CEO must be a highly responsive, motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented leader with the ability to think strategically, prioritize and implement tasks, and set goals and objectives. Recognizing the diverse nature of JVS SoCal’s community, the successful candidate will be committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible executive experience, including a proven record of success managing a large staff and external constituencies as well as scaling an organization. Candidates from the for-profit sector are encouraged to apply. A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
