Jewish Free Loan Association (JFLA) is seeking a highly organized, technology-savvy, creative, and detail-oriented development professional to serve as our Development Associate. This remote role is responsible for securing and stewarding gifts of up to $2,499, creating content to support development communications, managing fundraising events, and other development duties.
Roles & responsibilities
Donor Relations: Develop and execute strategies to acquire, renew, and retain donors, with a focus on donors giving up to $2,499 by:
o Directly cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors and prospective donors.
o Utilizing the fundraising database to strategically segment and personalize communications.
o Establishing a robust monthly giving program.
Development Communications:
o Create and execute JFLA’s e-newsletter to build donor awareness of our programs and impact.
o Develop compelling campaign content by gathering data, client and donor stories, and program information.
o Create and execute fundraising materials including email communications, content to be shared on social media, dynamic donor acknowledgements, website content, and more.
Fundraising Support
o Manage fundraising events including planning and communications.
o Research and identify potential donors and corporate sponsors.
o Research and identify potential donor engagement opportunities.
• Other: Additional duties as assigned. Some evenings and weekends are required.
Qualifications
• 2-5 years of work experience in a related field, preferably at a nonprofit organization, in fundraising, sales, marketing, or communications.
• Strong technological proficiency, including experience with CRM databases and Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce and Donor Perfect experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills a must.
• Ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in managing projects across teams.
• Clear indication from past jobs that you are a self-starter.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle data with accuracy and confidentiality and to use data to inform decision-making.
• Experience in social media management and/or editing website content a plus.
