Position Description: ICLC is seeking a talented Part-Time Systems Administrator to be part of a collaborative team of professionals who ensure ICLC staff and clients have the technology resources required to achieve our mission. The team maintains a secure, robust corporate network environment that supports hundreds of users and devices in a hybrid environment. They support and ensure secure access to multiple online platforms outside of the network and provide timely and effective support to users across the organization.
The Systems Administrator evaluates the organization’s networking needs and available technologies to meet our mission and proposes the appropriate acquisition of hardware, software, and services that comprise the desired network solutions. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for:
Managing and maintaining ICLC’s VLANS and WAN.
Installing application software on servers, coordinate transitions to new software versions with IT department team.
Troubleshooting network problems, researching, recommending and tunning network components in response to new usage patterns and applications.
Recommending network and server enhancements based on both new industry developments and user needs.
Creating strategies and policies to support business needs and the organization’s mission.
Preparing and installing systems, networks, hardware, and software and ensure functionality.
Managing and maintaining the network systems and components including but not limited to servers, firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
Developing and maintaining back-up processes and ensuring appropriate off-site and off-region backup of all critical data and systems.
Ensuring the security and cyber security of the network from internal and external misuse and attack.
Ensuring adherence to all licensing laws, policies, and agreements.
Backing up the IT Team, providing top level customer support and advice to all users, including orientation to new users of existing or new technology, and providing individual training and support, utilizing an online trouble ticket application.
Providing technical coaching to colleagues on the IT team.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s in Information Technology or Computer Science or related major.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting and using equipment and computers. Occasionally required to lift computer equipment, supplies and materials.
