Inner City Law Center (ICLC) is a nonprofit law firm on Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles. We are looking for extraordinary people to help us end homelessness in Los Angeles. Founded on the fundamental principle that every person should always be treated with dignity and respect, ICLC fights for justice for low-income tenants, working-poor families, people who have disabilities or are experiencing homelessness, people living with HIV/AIDS, and homeless veterans.

Position Description: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will execute and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization including:
Payroll processing and system administration
Program budget development and tracking
Complete month-end and year-end close of QuickBooks system, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis
Prepare cashflow reports, AP payment recommendations and AR follow up
Manage the organization’s annual independent audit
Work closely with the CFO to evaluate systems, processes and efficiencies of the finance team
Qualifications
Hiring Criteria: Commitment to ICLC’s mission. At least four years’ experience in a nonprofit accounting setting. Experience with accounting and payroll software. Knowledge of GAAP accounting and nonprofit accounting operations. Must have a reliable form of transportation.
