Program Manager – Small Business & Economic Development
Full-Time | Bilingual English/Spanish Required, Finance Experience Required
Are you passionate about helping small businesses grow and creating real economic impact in your community? ICON CDC is seeking an experienced, motivated, and mission-driven Program Manager to join our team immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a business or finance background who enjoys coaching entrepreneurs, developing staff, and leading programs that drive neighborhood revitalization.
What You’ll Do
As our Program Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening the local small business ecosystem. Your responsibilities include:
Supervise and mentor a team of Business Specialists with diverse skills and caseloads.
Manage your own portfolio of up to 20 microenterprises and small businesses.
Train staff and interns to deliver high-quality advising, outreach, and client services.
Develop tools and resources (business plan templates, flyers, outreach materials, etc.) to enhance program effectiveness.
Support Access to Capital efforts through loan packaging assistance and lender identification.
Evaluate program performance and recommend improvements to maximize impact.
Ensure program goals are met, including client satisfaction, job creation/retention, capital access, and operational compliance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Roles & responsibilities
What You Bring
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of general business practices, with strong financial and forecasting skills.
Experience working with external partners, agencies, administrative systems, and databases.
Small business loan packaging experience is a major plus
Qualifications
To be successful, you must meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field OR five years of equivalent experience.
3–5 years of experience in business advising, finance, entrepreneurship support, or similar.
Bilingual English/Spanish (Required)
