Our mission is to support young people harmed by systemic injustice, structural racism and a societal disconnection as they reconnect to themselves and their future opportunity for success through an earth-based program of healing, self-actualization and connection to community and nature.

About this job

Join me in the creation of Green Arrow CoLab, a non-profit providing alternative and progressive restorative justice programming that helps individuals connect to nature, build confidence, and explore their passions.

This is a dual-role - teaching and program manager. If you are interested in one or the other or both please reach out! You would teach on-site at our expanding locations in Los Angeles, and have all other meetings, etc via zoom.

I value your thoughts, ideas, and the experience you bring to the table. My goal is for you to contribute to the larger vision and have a positive impact on our communities while helping actualize the Green Arrow CoLab vision.

Roles & responsibilities

Program Manager Role:

- Help with program and location development - experience in this area is a plus but not required - we are building a new program that doesn’t need to follow any specific rules but does need to have measurable goals and educational structure

- Advice and thoughts on how to best position Green Arrow CoLab for funding, pathway to creation, and where to focus our efforts

- Collaboration and brainstorming sessions with founder and other team members

- Co-creating 2-5 year strategic plan

- Research location to put the healing center and programming

- Reaching out to network for additional support and/or next steps

- Teach gardening and mindfulness 3-5 hours per week: Times and days flexible depending on your availability and availability of where you will be teaching

- Arrive 5-10 mins before class to set up, etc

- Attend weekly virtual all-teacher meetings to review and plan curriculum for that week, celebrate wins and discuss roadblocks and support needed.

- Class planning based on current curriculum

- Reflections after each class - can be done written, audio, video

- 6 month commitment unless otherwise discussed

How We Work:

- We work mainly with Google drive - docs, sheets, etc

- Weekly check-in calls/zoom calls

- Great collaboration skills and desire to brainstorm possible partnerships, larger long-term vision, and bounce ideas back and forth

- Reliable transportation

For Program Manager:

- Experience in the non-profit world (1-3+ years preferable)
