Join me in the creation of Green Arrow CoLab, a non-profit providing alternative and progressive restorative justice programming that helps individuals connect to nature, build confidence, and explore their passions.
This is a dual-role - teaching and program manager. If you are interested in one or the other or both please reach out! You would teach on-site at our expanding locations in Los Angeles, and have all other meetings, etc via zoom.

Roles & responsibilities
Program Manager Role:
- Help with program and location development - experience in this area is a plus but not required - we are building a new program that doesn’t need to follow any specific rules but does need to have measurable goals and educational structure
- Advice and thoughts on how to best position Green Arrow CoLab for funding, pathway to creation, and where to focus our efforts
- Collaboration and brainstorming sessions with founder and other team members
- Co-creating 2-5 year strategic plan
- Research location to put the healing center and programming
- Reaching out to network for additional support and/or next steps
- Possibly presenting and co-creating presentations to show at meetings and spread the word about what Green Arrow CoLab is looking to accomplish
- Assist with budget estimates for build-outs and creation of healing facility for grants and proposals
Gardening and Mindfulness Teacher Role:
I am looking for a part-time teacher to teach 2-3 times per week. Total of about 5 hours per week, including meetings and planning.
- Teach gardening and mindfulness 3-5 hours per week: Times and days flexible depending on your availability and availability of where you will be teaching
- Arrive 5-10 mins before class to set up, etc
- Attend weekly virtual all-teacher meetings to review and plan curriculum for that week, celebrate wins and discuss roadblocks and support needed.
- Class planning based on current curriculum
- Reflections after each class - can be done written, audio, video
- 6 month commitment unless otherwise discussed
How We Work:
- We work mainly with Google drive - docs, sheets, etc
- Weekly check-in calls/zoom calls
- Great collaboration skills and desire to brainstorm possible partnerships, larger long-term vision, and bounce ideas back and forth
Qualifications
For Gardening and Mindfulness Teacher:
- Passion and some basic knowledge of gardening and mindfulness. If you are stronger in one area and willing to learn and grow that’s great!
- Collaborator, team-player, understanding, compassionate
- Restorative Justice or similar style of training (we can also train you in this)
- Reliable transportation
For Program Manager:
- Experience in the non-profit world (1-3+ years preferable)
- Understanding and/or experience with restorative justice, juvenile justice, re-entry, prison reform/abolishment, and/or diversion
- Out-of-the-box thinker with passion for restorative justice and a new justice system
- Understanding of the population and communities we will serve
- Knowledge of or desire to research propositions, bills, and alternative initiatives being passed in Los Angeles
- Familiar with new departments being created (ie: Youth Diversion and Development)
- Able to work on your own without oversight, complete tasks on-time, voice if you’ve hit a roadblock or need help/extra time on a certain task
- A plus, but not required - contacts within the system for consulting, advising, or to join the team (including system-impacted youth and adults for our Advisory Councils)
