About this organization

Gasol Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2013 by Pau and Marc Gasol - Olympians and NBA Champion brothers. Inspired by their parents, who were both in the medical field, Pau and Marc have always shared a passion for children’s health. Recognizing obesity as one of the most serious health challenges facing children today, they launched Gasol Foundation to address this global epidemic, first in Los Angeles and then shortly after in Barcelona, Spain.

Gasol Foundation programs take a holistic and coordinated approach to addressing childhood obesity. The Healthy Galaxy model addresses four key determinants of childhood obesity: physical activity, healthy eating, sleep quality and emotional well-being. Programs promote healthy habits while empowering individuals to serve as critical community tools for sustainable and healthy change.
