A key member of the Development and Communications team, the Director of Major Gifts should be an experienced frontline fundraiser, storyteller, and passionate champion for our work and mission. Reporting to the Vice President of Development and Communications, the person plays a pivotal role in achieving and exceeding our annual fundraising goal of $2 million+ from individual donors.
Roles & responsibilities
The Director of Major Gifts takes an active leadership role in planning and implementing organization’s strategy for cultivation, stewardship, and expanding relationships with a multi-faceted portfolio of individual donors. We are looking for candidates who can bring unique ways to engage current and prospective funders as well as to create a long-term pipeline for individual major donor engagement.
Qualifications
The candidate should be entrepreneurial and a collaborative team player, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. The candidate should have demonstrated success in frontline major gift fundraising, have excellent communications and relationship building skills, and demonstrated experience in fundraising database management.
If you have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in fundraising at a major donor level, a track record of building strong and productive relationships with stakeholders, including donors, volunteers and colleagues, and a passion for working with the underserved, we encourage you to apply.
The starting salary range is $100,000-110,000 and benefits include a robust and comprehensive benefits package.
