A key member of the Development and Communications team, the Director of Individual Giving should be an experienced frontline fundraiser, storyteller, and passionate champion for our work and mission with demonstrated experience in all facets of individual fundraising, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving and stewardship. Reporting to the Vice President of Development and Communications, the person plays a pivotal role in achieving and exceeding our annual fundraising goal of $2 million+ from individual donors and directs our annual giving program.
Roles & responsibilities
The Director of Individual Giving takes an active leadership role in planning and implementing organization’s strategy to build our donor portfolio, including cultivation, stewardship, and expanding relationships with major and annual giving donors. We are looking for candidates who can bring unique ways to engage current and prospective funders as well as to create a long-term pipeline for individual donor engagement. This position supervises our manager of annual giving.
Qualifications
The candidate should be entrepreneurial and a collaborative team player, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. The candidate should have demonstrated success in frontline major gift fundraising, strong supervisory experience, excellent communications and relationship building skills, and demonstrated experience in fundraising database management.
If you have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in fundraising at the major donor and annual giving levels, a track record of building strong and productive relationships with stakeholders, including donors, volunteers and colleagues, and a passion for working with the underserved, we encourage you to apply.
We offer can offer a salary of $125-130,000 and a robust and comprehensive benefits package.
