As AI transforms every job, a new digital divide is emerging, between those with AI fluency and those without. This gap threatens workforce equity, leaving capable people across industries behind—not due to lack of talent, but lack of access to relevant, role-specific training. Many feel overwhelmed, unsure how AI applies to their work, and afraid to try without support. Most employers haven’t stepped in, and existing education is often too technical or detached from day-to-day deliverables.

The AI Career Growth Bootcamp is a workforce development initiative designed to close the AI literacy gap by making AI useful, understandable, and relevant to real work. This program equips participants with practical, role-specific AI skills and the confidence to use them, so they can pivot, promote, and prosper in the AI-first economy, regardless of background or industry.
The bootcamp is structured around two focused 8-week sprints, requiring less than an hour per week. Participants learn how to apply AI tools directly to their daily work, unlocking productivity and career advancement. The program also includes weekly office hours to support skill development, accountability, and strategic alignment with employer goals, ensuring that the training delivers measurable impact at both the individual and organizational level.

If the AI Career Growth Bootcamp is successful, Los Angeles County will have a more resilient, inclusive, and future-ready workforce. Participants across industries and roles, especially those from historically underrepresented communities, will have access to role-specific AI training and coaching that builds both confidence and capability. Workers won’t just adapt to AI, they’ll lead with an AI-first approach.
