What is your understanding of the issue that you are seeking to address?
California leads the nation in homelessness and State and local efforts to address the homelessness crisis have failed. There remains a need for formerly incarcerated individuals to be provided tools and proper resources to aid them in the transition to society. Formerly incarcerated individuals face intense unfavorable outcomes when transitioning back into society without stable housing and support to connect them to necessary resources to improve their quality of life. This makes the process in which individuals reenter society that much more important.
