Nothing is harder than not being able feed your family, let alone survive."1 in 6 Americans (about 50 million people) struggle to afford enough food"(Feeding America).Even among those earning 100,000 or more, over 45% report living paycheck to paycheck, often due to inflation, housing cost ,and debt".I'm reminded of the days where my mother always said she wasn't hungry. Yet, she would eat what was left on our plates. I now find myself feeding my family first, yet acting as if i'm not starving. Even with a job helping others I struggle at times.Truth is we are all struggling in one way or another. "Grocery prices have increased over 25% since 2020", making it harder for families to survive. As you drive thru the streets of Los Angeles, drugs and mental health challenge families ability to keep hope restocked daily.Over 36,000 youth are systems-Impacted by incarceration in The US. It is inevitable that the Panty program abilities to support families is key to their essential survival.
