With a passionate coalition of local leaders, experts, and volunteers, we’ve delivered urgent relief with care and compassion. Now, empowered by this vital grant, we’re ready to accelerate our impact—restoring hope, homes, and resilience where it’s needed most.

What is your understanding of the issue that you are seeking to address?
Our organization has been at the forefront of wildfire response since January 8th, when the Eaton fire prompted our immediate mobilization. We’ve built a coalition of local leaders, volunteers, service providers, and housing specialistswho have already proven capable of swift, organized, and compassionate outreach. Our internal team has backgrounds in disaster relief, case management, housing development, and ecological restoration. With proven logistical systems and deep-rooted community trust, we are fully prepared to elevate this initiative to its next phase—especially with the vital support this grant provides.

Describe how Los Angeles County will be different if your work is successful.
In the short term, families will receive essential support to stabilize their lives—transitional housing, resource distribution, trauma care, and community assistance. Children will be able to return to school. Parents will re-enter work. Basic dignity will be restored.
In the long term, this grant will help transform vulnerable areas into models of recovery and resilience. We will rebuild homes using fire-smart principles, restore native habitats to support local biodiversity, and create a more united community ready to face future challenges together. Our work will ripple out—building a blueprint for recovery that can inspire and support other fire-affected communities across California and beyond.
