Within the under-served communities where we provide services, there is a disproportionate number of families impacted by absentee fathers. Statistics show an above average number of these fathers lack sufficient leadership skills, relationship skills, and financial literacy. These conditions have resulted in large numbers of unemployment, poverty, homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, children in foster the care system and imprisonment within these families.

In addition to conducting our sports-themed, leadership and life skills workshops, we provide access to vital resources such as vocational training, educational scholarships, job fairs, and career exploration activities. We partner with employers that hire reentry personal and those who offer internship and apprenticeship programs in tech fields. We bring in guest speakers who exemplify positive fatherhood qualities and produce a video series that feature fathers who are good role models. We host bonding activities for the fathers and their families, such as holiday brunches, potlucks and classic car shows.

As the Awyken the Quarterback Daddy Within You program grows, our efforts will lead to empowered families experiencing joy, fulfillment, and a stronger community fabric. Our focus on providing fathers with proven life skills training will pave the way for long-lasting change, turning dreams of familial harmony into reality for countless households within our target communities. Our long-term expansion plan includes training fathers to become Certified Awyken Quarterback Daddy Life Skills Coaches themselves and make a positive impact within their communities.
