STEAM Visions: Artistic Journeys through Science" addresses the critical need for enhanced K-12 STEAM education in Los Angeles by integrating arts into traditional STEM subjects. This innovative art competition for middle and high school students aims to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for future careers in both tech and creative industries. Participants will create artworks that incorporate STEM concepts, with categories including Visual Arts, Digital Arts, Performing Arts, and Mixed Media.
The project will unfold in several phases. The preparation phase involves developing the competition theme and guidelines, and conducting partner outreach to engage LAUSD schools, community organizations, and arts educators. Resource allocation will ensure that funding and promotional activities are in place. This phase sets the foundation for a successful competition by securing the necessary support and creating awareness.
