NEW: 17 Impactful Angelenos On The Issues That Matter Most

Posted

To elevate this year’s LA2050 Grants Challenge, we launched “I Care About LA,” a new campaign inviting a select group of LA-based experts, public figures, thought leaders, and influencers to share 100 words about an issue that matters to them.

Participants include nine-time USA Paralympian Candace Cable, former Stockton Mayor and Founder of End Poverty in California Michael Tubbs, California African American Museum Executive Director Cameron Shaw, Chef and Todo Verde Founder Jocelyn C Ramirez, and many more. Each featured individual chose one issue that resonated with them from a list of 31 issues facing Los Angeles – climate and environment, income inequality, affordable housing and homelessness, and food access, to name a few.

Check out the 17 powerful “I Care About LA” responses in our virtual booklet. And, don’t forget to tell us what you care about by voting in the LA2050 Grants Challenge before it closes on May 6th, 2022 at 11:59 pm!
