LA2050 Named Nonprofit Organization of the Year

Posted

LA2050, an initiative of the Goldhirsh Foundation, has been named Nonprofit Organization of the Year (Growing).

The honor comes from the Los Angeles Business Journal Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship 2023 Awards. The LABJ made the announcement during a luncheon held Wednesday, April 19 at the historic Biltmore Los Angeles hotel in Downtown LA.

There were three categories for Nonprofit Organization of the Year, based on operating budgets: Growing, Mid-Size, and Large. Other awards went to individuals, and to public-private partnerships.

For a complete list of all of the deserving nominees and winners, visit this LABJ page, likely on Monday, April 24.

This wasn’t the only time LABJ recently shared about LA2050. In the days prior to the ceremony, LABJ editor-in-chief Charles Crumpley wrote about the ongoing 2023 LA2050 Grants Challenge in his weekly LABJ Insider column.

Crumpley’s piece began, “Speaking of organizations doing things a bit differently…” and included a quote from Goldhirsh Foundation and LA2050 president Tara Roth.
