Income inequality

Since 2010, income inequality in LA has risen. Most recently, in 2020, local income inequality reached 0.5, which represent a large income gap. The Gini coefficient ranges from 0, indicating perfect income equality, to 1, total income inequality.

Our target

The Gini index for Los Angeles County will not exceed .35, and Los Angeles will be a place where all have economic opportunity.
