JOB TITLE: Information Technology Coordinator

REPORTS TO: IT Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Classified, Non-Exempt

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: No

HOURLY PAY: $20.14-25.74

HOURS: Full Time

Roles & responsibilities

Leadership

● Embody and model the STEM Prep core values of We Are Family, We are STEM Thinkers, and We are Agents of Change.

● Oversee IT systems, ensuring that hardware, software, tech security, and tech policies and procedures are effective and supportive of the schools’ instructional programs

● Work with school leadership to develop and implement school-wide tech policies Management of School Technology

● Maintain inventory of all school equipment which includes maintaining a catalog of tech cart inventory (Number, location, OS type), projectors, 3D Printers, etc.

● Maintain all school technology equipment in good operating condition which includes Cameras, printers, phones, servers, computer carts, and bell systems

● Support Professional Development Days and school events by ensuring technology (audio/visual) is set up properly and in working order

● Provide tech support throughout the duration of events as requested Staff/Student IT Support and Training

● Provide first level tech support to school end users and escalate issues to IT Manager as required to reach resolution

● Educate staff on proper device care and maintenance

● Provide software training to staff members so that staff are able to fully utilize technological resources

Software Management

● Create, manage and maintain student accounts for all computer-based programs. Software programs include: ST math, Amplify, AR Reader, PowerSchool, Gmail, Illuminate, CAASPP, Edulastic, Clever, Fastbrige, Amplify

● Create, manage and maintain staff accounts for email, student information systems, and computer-based instructional programs such as GSuite and PowerSchool

● Manage and enforce network restrictions for students and staff which includes whitelist/blacklisting websites and managing the content filter using Cisco ASDM-IDM and supporting staff on GoGuardian

● Collaborate to resolve school PowerSchool-related issues

● Support school operations through running grade reports, creating/updating report cards, running enterprise reports, honor roll, GPA calculations, correcting user errors, and troubleshooting issues as needed

Testing Support

● Ensure teachers and students have access to their accounts and their log-in info is correct

● Resolve test day issues by creating testing tickets and following up with testing platform providers

● Ensure classrooms have sufficient hardware in good working order to conduct testing

● Ensure all testing data is reported by force submitting any incompleted assessments

Additional Support

● Travel between sites for meetings and to provide site coverage in an absence is required

Qualifications

Work Authorization/Clearance

1. Eligibility to work in the United States of America

2. California Department of Justice and FBI Live Scan Fingerprint Clearances

3. Tuberculosis Clearance

Required Education and Experience

1. A minimum of a High School Diploma

2. Demonstrable customer service skills

3. Experience with Microsoft Office (ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

4. Experience using, configuring, and maintaining laptops (MacOS, Windows, ChromeOS, Android, IOS)

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience using, configuring, and maintaining Apple laptops

2. Experience with Google Apps, including Chrome management

3. K-12 Education Industry experience
