GO Campaign is seeking a part-time Development Associate immediately. The Development Associate is a highly collaborative and driven person, who is excited by both higher-level strategy and on-the-ground operational work. S/he will have fundraising capability; experience in working strategically with all stakeholders; experience with executing all aspects of event logistics and timetables. We are seeking a self-starting, well-organized candidate with creativity, a positive attitude. A sense of humor is a bonus! Someone who is able to work at a fast pace in a deadline-driven environment. The Development Associate is integral to the success of GO Campaign’s special events. This position is ideal for someone interested in growing their experience in nonprofit development and events coordination. This position reports to the Director of Fundraising.

Roles & responsibilities

Pre-Event Coordination / Event Coordination / Post-Event Coordination

• Execute fundraising events, programs, and activities in collaboration with the Development team and Board of Directors, ensuring that GO Campaign events maximize net contributed income. You must be able to work our annual major events (2-3).

• Manage administration of all auctions, including live, silent, private and online auction.

• Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and acknowledgments for events.

• Provide analysis to assist with budgeting, finances, and seek cost-savings to maximize return.

• Coordinate and train all volunteers.

• Work with Director to secure sponsorships, auction items and donations for events.

• Collect and synthesize feedback from all event participants post-event (i.e., assemble postmortem)

• Extract data and create data reports from donor database

Development Responsibilities

• Effectively write high-quality donor communications that promote our mission. Demonstrate the ability to write customized and compelling reports, etc.

• Track year-round pledges, prepare reports, and pull database queries.

• Manage Recurring Donor program

• Conduct research on prospective corporations, corporate foundations and individual donors.

• Offer administrative support including operational support as well as events and special projects as assigned.


• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum of three years’ experience working in special events and ideally in a nonprofit setting

• Superior organizational skills and strict attention to detail; demonstrated ability to proactively manage multiple tasks effectively, sometimes under pressure

• Ability to work some nights and weekends (for events)

• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Database/CRM management experience strongly preferred – eTapestry or Blackbaud system

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Canva /Constant Contact experience preferred.

• A valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation - this is a hybrid position located in Los Angeles. You will work remotely 90% of the time but you MUST be in Southern California.
