The Archer School for Girls is currently seeking a full-time administrative assistant for the Dean of Student Life, Equity and Inclusion (“DSLEI”). This position also supports the Director of Academic Access, School Counselor, and Health Coordinator to ensure the smooth daily operations of Archer’s Learning Services team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administrative Assistant to DSLEI
  • Maintain DSLEI’s daily calendar and schedule meetings as needed
  • Maintain records and reconcile DSLEI’s monthly expense reports
  • Assist in planning Student Life events as needed
  • Keep minutes at DSLEI committee and Grade Level Dean meetings as needed
  • Act as initial point of contact for students seeking assistance
  • Administrative support for the Director of Academic Access, School Counselor, and Health and Safety Practitioner including calendaring & scheduling, and streamlining communication for the department
  • Attend events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate:

  • Has proven experience as an administrative assistant, project manager, or customer service representative
  • Enjoys working in a school environment
  • Collaborates effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Has highly developed organizational skills and superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintains confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment
  • Can employ exemplary planning and time management skills to support
  • Has a sense of humor
  • Is detail-oriented, self-driven and works well independently with limited oversight


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Background working in schools preferred
  • Experience supporting multiple administrators and/or directors
